Alex + Wyatt’s HOh Rainforest + Ruby Beach Elopement with their dog

A DOG-FRIENDLY HOH RAINFOREST + RUBY BEACH ELOPEMENT

I photograph a lot of beautiful elopements in a lot of beautiful places but this Alex and Wyatt’s Rainforest and Ruby Beach elopement with their dog Zeus might just be one of my favorites ever! Everything about this day was magical – from the place to the people to the pup. I am SO excited to share this day with you!

When Alex and Wyatt first reached out they were going back and forth between eloping in Colorado and Washington State, where they were living at the time. They knew they wanted a fall elopement, some incredibly scenery, and for their pup to be there. After tossing around some ideas we landed on a Ruby Beach and Hoh Rainforest (along with a couple other locations!) combo and it could not have been better! This epic day involved a little bit of everything!

We began their day at their AirBnB which was surrounded by rainforest and had it’s own private trails. After they finished getting ready they did the sweetest first look (with Zeus the dog too!) right on the property and we explored for a bit and took pictures. After that we got Zeus settled in the house for a bit while we went and explored all that Olympic National Park has to offer. We hiked in the Hoh Rainforest, explored waterfalls, checked out the lake, and then made our way back to the house to pick the pup up again for their ceremony at Ruby Beach!

The rain held off all day long but picked up in the evening for their ceremony and honestly? It was perfect. The little bit of drizzle added to the magical moody vibes and was the PERFECT way to end the day. After their ceremony Zeus started running zoomies around the beach – he was obviously excited too!
