Wes + Brad’s Colorado Helicopter Elopement

An epic Mountain + desert helicopter elopement in the san juan mountains

When Wes and Brad first reached out they had no idea what they wanted to do for their elopement – they just knew that they wanted it to be a once in a lifetime adventure for them and a couple of their besties! After tossing around a bunch of ideas we decided that a Colorado helicopter elopement would be perfect for them and the planning began!

We began their day at the Wyman Hotel in Silverton where they were getting ready with their buddies. They had spent the days prior hanging around in Silverton (with all four of them dreaming of moving there … and who can blame them?!), soaking in the scenery and enjoying all the delicious food. By the time I arrived they were ready for their big adventure!

They chartered a private helicopter to take them to some beautiful places. When the heli operator asked what kind of scenery they wanted – mountains? deserts? forests? – the answer was all of the above! We first flew to the desert where they landed and had their ceremony under a beautiful arch without another soul in site. After champagne and toasts we dropped their buddies off back at the airport and headed waaaaay up high where they read letters from their family and soaked in the views (with more champagne, of course!).

In the evening we all headed back to Silverton where we enjoyed a gorgeously catered picnic and a whole bunch of whiskey!

I had the absolute BEST time hanging out with these two and dreaming up dreaming up their most incredible day and I am so excited to share some photos with you!
