Leila + Josh’s Telluride Adventure Elopement

A stunning sunrise elopement in Telluride, Colorado

When Layla and Josh reached out to me last year they didn’t know exactly what they wanted for their elopement but they knew they wanted it to be beautiful, in Colorado, and in early June. They were living in New Mexico at the time and decided to elope in Colorado as a last hurrah in the West before life took them to North Carolina. They also knew they wanted their dog, Hanzo, there and you KNOW I was all about that!

Josh, Layla, Hanzo, and I, along with videographer extraordinaire Wandering Wildflower Films, started their day way before sunrise at their AirBnB in Ridgeway and then all piled into their Jeep and headed out on an epic adventure!

I had scouted a new-to-me location on my bike the day before and knew it would be perfect for their ceremony. When we got to the spot they changed into their wedding clothes and did their first look just as the sun was starting to come up. Then it was time for their ceremony which was done in a gorgeous spot with not another soul around. It was perfect.

After their ceremony it was time to sign the marriage license (with Hanzo doing the honors, obviously). Then we spent the rest of the morning adventuring in the Jeep, hiking to my favorite waterfall, and enjoying the excellent company and the beautiful summer weather in the mountains.

This was the official kickoff to my busy season and I honestly can’t imagine a better day!
