Gaëlle and Eric’s Intimate Wedding at RMNP

GaElle and Eric’s Intimate Wedding at Rocky Mountain National Park

A beautiful intimate wedding in rocky mountain national park with a sunrise hike

Gaëlle and Eric met back in 2017 when a mutual friend invited them to go camping to watch the solar eclipse. Fast forward five years and they got married on the exact same date!

They came to me just a few weeks before they day they wanted to get married and we put this day together on pretty short notice …. and it still turned out PERFECT. After tossing around a bunch of ideas on where to have their wedding that ticked all of their boxes, we managed to score a VERY last minute wedding reservation at Rocky Mountain National Park.

You could say the stars aligned to get these two married. 😉

We began their day with a sunrise hike (outside RMNP) up to an alpine lake. It had been raining all week but we hit a lucky break in the storm … which meant cool low hanging clouds coupled with perfect weather. The sun lit up the peaks just as we hit the lake and those low clouds made everything feel super surreal. I’ve seen a LOT of sunrises in the mountains and this may have been one of my favorites!

We spent the morning exploring the area and taking pictures and then Eric played a couple songs on the guitar and it was basically the sweetest thing ever! On our hike back down to the trailhead we saw SIX moose (including two bulls and a baby!) and if that’s not a good omen, I don’t know what is!

After our hike we headed to Rocky Mountain National Park where their family and a handful of close friends were waiting. Gaëlle’s best friend officiated the sweetest ceremony and we all celebrated with champagne just as the storm was about to roll back in! We managed to sneak in a few photos with them and their pups at the parking lot and then they headed into Estes Park to celebrate at the Stanley Hotel.

I had the best time celebrating with these two and am still SO STOKED about how all of this came together!

Here are a few photos from their day – Enjoy!
