Dunton hot springs elopement

Peggy and Keishla met in Puerto Rico where Keishla was living and Peggy was traveling for work. They met playing on the same flag football team! How cute is that?! Fast forward TEN YEARS, tons of travel and adventure, and the addition of two sweet resche pups and they decided to finally do the damn thing – with their beloved dogs in tow.

How I helped plan their dunton hot springs elopement

When they first reached out they didn’t know where they wanted to elope. They knew they wanted something swanky and dog friendly with beautiful views, delicious food, and plenty of opportunities for relaxation. After tossing around MANY ideas they chose a bougie-meets-relaxing elopement at Dunton Hot Springs, near Telluride, Colorado and the planning began! Their beautiful, dog-friendly cabin at Dunton even included it’s own private hot spring right off the back porch.

We began the day in Dunton’s beautiful getting ready room above the bar where Dallas from the Telluride Salon was working her magic. Once the girlies were all glammed up we headed to their cabin to finish getting ready. They got dressed together and then helped the pups get into their tuxes (TUXES!!! I died, y’all). After everyone was dressed we spent some time exploring the property, checking out the waterfall, and taking some photos before heading off-site for a little adventure.

If you know me you know that the San Juan mountains are my FAVORITE part of Colorado. It’s beautiful and wild out there and I just love it so much. We went to my favorite waterfall where they did their ceremony and then checked out a nearby lake before heading back to Dunton Hot Springs to sign their marriage licenses (including the pups’ paw prints as witnesses, obviously), pop some bubbly, and enjoy a stunning evening.

Since they met playing football, a football came along for the adventure and a few passes (and an epic wedding dress chest bump!) were made.

They ended their evening with a delicious dinner at the restaurant as I made my way to my campsite in the van, pinching myself that this is my life. How lucky am I to get to do this for a living?!
