Here's what I believe ...
The laughter and tears. The way the wind felt when it whipped through your hair and how your person smiled when you said your vows.
This isn't about stiff poses or all the things you're supposed to "be". Its about the two of you doing the thing, making it official, and capturing it all as it went down so you can relive these moments for years to come.
Over the years I've driven and flown thousands of miles and helping dozens of couples have their best days.
Here are some numbers I'm especially proud of ...
dogs who have watched their people get married
(I've lost count, y'all. Its a bunch!)

Will you photograph our large wedding?
I 100% specialize in Colorado elopements and tiny, elopement-style weddings. Because of this I generally only photograph days with 0-15 guests. There is a tiny bit of wiggle room there (I'm not going to go around counting your guests!) but if you are having something resembling a traditional wedding you'd be much better served by a traditional wedding photographer. That's not me. :)
How far in advance do we need to book you?
I've had couples book me anywhere from a week to a year and a half out from their date!
Generally, most couples book between 3 and 12 months out. If your date is somewhat flexible, I can almost always get you on my schedule. If your date is NOT flexible, I recommend getting in touch ASAP as popular dates go fast!
We are super awkward in front of the camera ...
I hear this from pretty much every couple I shoot. Don't worry, my job is to help you feel comfortable! I base what I do around real, authentic interactions (and help you get those!) so as long as you know how to be YOU, that's all we need to make magic!
Every single couple you see in my portfolio is a *real* couple having a *real* wedding day - and they probably said they'd be awkward too. ;)
We love what you're about (and love Colorado!) but want to elope somewhere else. Do you travel?
Colorado is my specialty and I'm not actively trying to shoot in other places *BUT* if you think I'd be a great fit for your wedding somewhere else in the U.S. or world, reach out and let's chat. I may be help you out!
Why should we consider an all day elopement?
One of the number one things that my couples tell me is that they want to be able to take the time to enjoy their day, not feel rushed, and feel like their day is TRULY about them. Far from being a long, staged, photoshoot, an all day elopement lets you spend the day exploring, enjoying the beautiful place you're in, and taking things at a relaxed pace. This isn't about saying your vows and having portraits taken - its about having a once in a lifetime experience that you will never forget. What better way to begin a marriage than with a grand adventure?!
What do you consider an intimate wedding? Do you photograph larger weddings?
"Intimate" to me is more about a feeling than a number but, in general the vast majority of the weddings + elopements I photograph have 0 to 50 guests. If you're having a larger wedding that still had a laid-back vibe, I'd still love to chat to see if we're a great fit.
It doesn't matter to me how big your wedding is - what matters is the intentionality you put behind it.
Does your pricing change depending on the number of guests we have?
NO! I've never understood why people do this. I bring my absolute A game to every single day I shoot regardless of how many guests are there! This also means that if your plans change and you decide to invite a few (or a few hundred) people, you don't have to worry about a change in price. Lets keep this super simple!
We're having a larger, more traditional wedding - can we still hire you?
Maybe.
I photograph a very limited number of traditional weddings every year and only when its an exceptionally good fit. If you think I might be the right person to bring a laid-back vibe to your more traditional wedding, please get in touch and lets talk about the details!
Do you offer adventure sessions?
Many of my couples, especially ones having more traditional weddings, decide to add an adventure session to their package to get those epic elopement-style photos. These can be done as engagement sessions or closer to the wedding (and even in your wedding clothes). We'll go for a hike, drink some wine, take some killer photos, and make a day of it.
What if we don't WANT to hike for our elopement?
That's totally fine! This state is full of places that are easy to access without a long hike. We build your days around what YOU want - whether that's going for a long hike, having picnics in beautiful places, or touring the state's best brewpubs! This is all about the level of adventure that YOU are comfortable with and designing an experience that matches who you are.
"Jen was absolutely wonderful in every way. Our elopement was fabulous because of her. Her photos on her website are why we picked her but we ended up getting so much more. She was an instant friend to us. She was super easy and fun to be around. It was just the three of us trekking up the mountains with Champagne. She brought a growler of some incredible beer. The one thing we didn't think of was ice and snow! She saved the day by bringing extra snow spikes. We live in Houston and Colorado was a perfect choice for us to get married. Trust me and choose Jen!!!" ~ Jeff + Wendy, Rocky Mountain National Park
Absolutely amazing! Jen will literally walk through a river or risk having her gear swept out to sea in order to make your day special. Her photos are absolutely stunning, but more importantly she will ensure that you have the best day of your life. We were having so much fun on our hike that we forgot that we were being photographed! Book an all day travel shoot - you will not be disappointed!! ~ Justin + Maria, Iceland
"Hiring Jen was the best decision I made around our wedding. We are not wedding people (“I really want to be married, I just don’t want to have a wedding!”), but if you’re going to do ANYTHING to mark the occasion photography is a great choice. It isn’t inexpensive (real talk: we spent well over half our budget on Jen), but it really did feel like we commissioned an incredible and personalized work of art from a great artist. It was worth every penny." ~ Alexander + Lauren, Estes Park, Colorado
