Catherine and Shea’s Winter Colorado Elopement with Their Dog Luna

A winter elopement in the colorado mountains with the cutest pup!

Catherine and Shea reached out to me just over a month before the day they wanted to elope to see if it would even be possible to do this thing on such short notice. I happened to have their day available and told them they weren’t (totally 😉) crazy for planning a pretty last minute elopement in Colorado in the middle of winter and we were off to the races!

These two currently live in sunny Southern California where Shea is stationed with the Navy. They’ve been together through many deployments and moves. During one of his deployments Catherine decided to adopt sweet little Luna pup to keep her company while he was away and she quickly became a central part of their family! She is the cutest little floofer to ever have floofed!

Because they love the mountains and the outdoors they decided to come to Colorado for their elopement – and bring Luna along for the adventure! After tossing around a few location ideas we chose a spot nestled in the mountains.

When I arrived at the cabin they rented they were finishing up getting ready and putting the final touches on their vows. Then we all piled into our cars and headed out into the wild! They said did their first look in a beautiful little spot in the woods (with Ms Luna stealing the REAL first look!) and then had the sweetest little ceremony on a frozen lake surrounded by pine trees.

Basically it was PERFECT!

I can’t believe how quickly this all came together! From choosing a perfect location to Catherine finding her dream dress in record time to the cute little ring carrier Luna wore on her collar, everything just worked out. Sometimes it’s all meant to be!

And of course, as we do it in Colorado, Luna signed their marriage license with her paw print!

I had such a good time playing in the snow with these three and am SO stoked to be sharing some of their photos!
