Marisa + Jared’s Telluride Elopement
A gorgeous sunrise/sunset adventure elopement in the san Juan mountains
Marisa and Jared live in sunny California and tossed around a LOT of ideas for where to elope before finally deciding to head to the Rocky Mountains. After talking about different locations we decided to head to the prettiest part of Colorado (y’all know I’m obsessed with the San Juans!) during the prettiest time of year and man, it was perfect! A fall Telluride, Colorado elopement was the PERFECT fit for these two!
When we started planning their elopement we realized we had a LONG list of things we wanted to do so we decided to make a whole day of it. This day was going to be about big adventures, beautiful places, and one fairy tale of a love story! It was epic in every sense of the word.
Marisa reallllllllly wanted to get some photos of the sunlight streaming through her GORGEOUS Galia Lahav dress so we decided to start our day on top of a mountain at sunrise (honestly, any day that starts on top of a mountain at sunrise is my kind of day!)! We played with a few harder-to-get-to ideas but decided to keep things simple. We met at the base of the gondola just as the sky started to get light and rode up the mountain under the moon.
It was a chilly morning but the moment that sun peaked over the ridge line we were bathed in warm, glowy light (and I proceeded to absolutely lose it over how freaking magical the whole thing was!)! We spent some time enjoying the morning and then headed back to town for the bumpy ride to the base of Bridal Veil Falls. We explored and took some photos at the falls and then headed back down to town!
At this point it was time for a little break so we all chilled for a few hours and then met up again for a sunset adventure. When afternoon came we hopped in Jared’s Raptor and headed up into one of my favorite spots in all of Colorado where they said their vows, had a picnic, and drank beer from Marisa’s favorite brewery in California. They ended the night doing their first dance in the headlights of their beloved truck.
This Telluride, Colorado elopement was the stuff dreams are made of. Getting to spend this day in this beautiful place with these two super fun humans was an absolute blast and I’m SO thrilled to have been a part of their day. Congrats, Jared and Marisa!!
