Erin + Matt's Mountain Adventure Session -

Erin + Matt’s Mountain Adventure Session

May 8

ITS BEEN A WINTER, you guys! Even for this girl who loves the cold and snow these last few months have started to feel a little bit long. The mountains have been getting hammered for months and I think we’re all ready to see some sun! When Erin and Matt contacted me looking for Boulder wedding photography they already had a date picked out for their engagement session … back in March … when we were getting hammered.

I remember sitting in my office that day watching yet another storm roll in outside my window. Since these guys are local we were able to reschedule the session for a few weeks later …. when we got hammered with rain and snow AGAIN.

They say that the third time’s a charm and that couldn’t have been more true than it was for this session!!

I met Erin, Matt, and their pup Coco (who I’m now obsessed with) in the mountains above Boulder on a beautiful day that actually felt like spring (not the snowy spring we had been having). We hiked 2.5 miles out to a lake (which was still mostly frozen) and spent the evening playing in the snow and sun. You guys know that I LOVE shooting in moody weather but I have to admit that getting some actually sunshine felt so damn good and was SO fun to shoot in! It made me so so ready for the warmer months ahead!

Here are some photos from their day. Enjoy!

I had such a good time playing in the sun with these guys and I can’t WAIT for their wedding in September!! I’m crossing my fingers that my little furry friend Coco will make an appearance! 😉

(Since I know y’all are going to ask, Erin’s GORGEOUS dress is from the folks at Anthropologie).
