A lot of elopements get planned out well in advance – Nina and Brandon’s wasn’t one of them. It was less than two weeks from when Nina contacted me about shooting her Colorado elopement to when we were standing on a rock next to a waterfall as they said their vows. They didn’t have concrete plans as to where to have their vows but were imagining a place with mountains and lakes. We decided that a Breckenridge elopement would be pretty much perfect!
They brought along their French bulldog Velma (who is the most portable of their three dogs) and a couple of their best friends. They said their vows on a rock next to a waterfall and then we all drank wine and beer and headed off to explore and take pictures.
At the end of the evening, just as we were wrapping up, a herd of mountain goats showed up! These were the cutest wedding crashers I have EVER seen! Mountain goats are pretty much my spirit animal and getting them in on a shoot was pretty much a dream come true.
I looooooooove shooting elopements so damn much and had an absolute blast with these guys! I have a bunch more elopements coming up over the rest of the summer and I couldn’t be more stoked about it. Give me alllllllllll the beautiful adventurous elopements and awesome couples!
Here is some eye candy from their day. Enjoy!!
