One of the absolute best things about doing Colorado wedding photography for a living is the awesome people I get to meet and the super cool places I get to shoot them in! Darcie and Al’s Colorado mountain wedding was no exception!
I got hooked up with these guys when they saw the photos that I did for longtime family friends Eric and Donna. It was super fun to see some friendly faces at their wedding!
Darcie and Al got married in beautiful Buena Vista, Colorado, right at the base of 14,000 foot Mt. Princeton. Their ceremony was at The Meadows (home of the Vertex Festival) and was followed by a super fun reception at the Lariat, a dive bar in downtown Buena Vista.
This day was just so much FUN. Between the tandem getaway bike that their friends had decorated, Darcie’s arrival at the ceremony in a convertible VW bug, flower pups Emma and Sofie, and all the laughter all day long, it was a day filled with smiles and happiness. I may have been a little bit obsessed with their tandem. It was decorated with a hula hoop, paddle, flowers, and a bunch of PBR cans – and it was pretty much perfect. And if you’re wondering, yes they DID ride it to the reception in their wedding clothes!
One of my favorite details from the wedding was the little rabbit cake toppers. Al’s Mom MADE them. How cool is that?!
Here are some photos from their day – enjoy!
